Michael A. Posner's Dancesport Titles and Bio
Michael's Bio
Michael prides himself on being an accomplished 19-dancer, dancing both ballroom and
latin in the American and International Styles. He was a competitive ballroom dancer for 8 years, from 1994 through 2002.
He was very involved in the collegiate ballroom dance scene, is a former US Amateur Ballroom Dancers Association Northeast Region Youth/College Network Council
representative, and is the former coordinator of the New England College Network, which brings together
the collegiate ballroom dance teams in the New England area. Michael was ranked in the top 5 9-dancers and top 10 Rhythm dancers
at the US National Amateur Championships and was the 1998 and 1999 Northeast region
9-dance and rhythm champions. Michael enjoys dancing as much more than just a competitive sport and can be frequently seen teaching and
sharing his love of dancing at various places around the area. Outside of ballroom dancing, Michael is a Professor of Statistics at Villanova University
and an active member of the Mt. Airy (Philadelphia) community.
